May we stay tender
enough to feel, to tear up.
Can cry and act up.
A dear friend has always told me: Harden to protect, soften to receive. I don't want to forget to soften...
Brilliant advice.
This is beautiful and, yes, yes, this!
"the miracle
of sunshine striking a paper sack
left open on the table, the way light
turns that simple thing into a sacrament..."
Everything, sacred, if only we dare to see with the tenderness you speak of. Thank you.
Thank you, Sophia!
I've realized lately that moments may be all we have. They are a welcome escape from external AND internal noise - both of which feel less true as the days go on.... Reading moments captured in poetry helps me remember this.
Beautifully said, Karen!
Yes, you are the memory keeper! In addition to Danusha’s 9-lenses “soul keeper”!
You got it!
You are a memory "tender", of similar crew-see-all importance as the techno extinct lighthouse "keeper".
I love the idea of being a memory tender!
I have come to understand in my own poems that poetry is a memory keeper. We all are! ❤️
So true, dear one! Good lunches are important too. 😊
🤣
Tenderness is power — and that’s where poetry takes root and grows. 😊
Holy Moly. Stunning. Thank you.
